South Amboy
New JerseyFounded in 1798, South Amboy is located along the Raritan River, south of Staten Island and across the river from Perth Amboy. On land, it bordered by the neighborhoods of Melrose, Parlin, and Morgan in Sayreville Borough. South Amboy has an area of three square miles and is one of the smaller cities in the region. The city has an almost one-to-one ratio of water to land area.
